Giddy on up, a night of country fun is right around the corner.
The first ever People's Choice Country Awards is coming to Nashville's iconic Grand Ole Opry House on Thursday, Sept. 28.—and E! News is breaking down what to expect from the highly anticipated night.
The inaugural ceremony will span over two hours, and include performances from some of the top country music stars including Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini and Dan + Shay.
As for fan favorites that are nominated for awards? The list includes Morgan Wallen leading the board with 11 nominations, followed by Luke Combs and Hardy who picked up nine nominations each. Other singers up for multiple awards: Jelly Roll with eight and Lainey Wilson following with seven.
Meanwhile, during the show Wynonna Judd is set to receive the Country Champion Award, celebrating not only her decades-long music career but also her work with organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project and Habitat for Humanity.
As for the other country superstars scoring big? Well, Toby Keith will be honored with the Country Icon Award, with a speech given by fellow Oklahoman Blake Shelton.
